Monde Nissin MY San Adopts Exodus ES

Last January 15, Monde Nissin MY San turned over 36 reading nooks to Exodus Elementary School in Cainta, Rizal.

Exodus ES is one of the underserved schools in Cainta identified by the DepEd-Division of Rizal. The school also has a significant number of frustrated readers and the reading nooks will assist the school in its remedial reading activities.

Turning over the reading nooks to the school are the company's Pollution Control Officer Mr. Ric Cartilla and HR Coordinator Ms Sheva Batislaon.

Laur Farmers Assisted After Typhoon Lando


In response to the destruction caused by Typhoon Lando, a total of nine (9) companies donated cash assistance to the affected families in the municipality of Laur, Nueva Ecija. Laur is one of the most affected municipalities of the province.
A total of 200 families, mostly whose livelihood depend on farming, were provided with relief packs that follow the SPHERE standard and of these, 82 families were granted shelter repair assistance in the form of voucher amounting to P10,000 plus P2,000 cash assistance.

The Hershey Company, through United Way Worldwide, provided the grant for the family food packs while donations from Cats Motors Inc., Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation, Fluor Daniel Inc., Philips Electronics, The Philippine Stock Exchange, Insular Life Assurance Corp., Airlift Asia Inc., and Sta. Maria Industrial Park, Inc. were pooled to cover the shelter repair kits assistance plus P2,000 cash assistance.

A distribution event last December 21 in Brgy. San Vicente were joined in by employee volunteers from Hersheys, Insular Life and Airlift. The event was undertaken in partnership with Laur LGU and Kadre Development Cooperative, Inc (KDCI). KDCI and Laur LGU were tasked to identify the beneficiaries of this early recovery assistance.

Incidentally, the municipality of Laur is one of the Luzon Regional Center’s Collective Impact (CI) site.
