Unilever Misis Walastik Launched in 6 Barangays

From December 2015-January 2016, Unilever, in partnership with PBSP, launched its solid waste recovery project in the 6 pilot barangays in Manila, Paranaque and Pasig.

 Dubbed by Unilever as “ Misis Walastik,” the project aims to collect flexible plastics and sachets from households through their selected barangay sweepers. The 6 barangays that will pilot the project are the following: Barangay 649(Baseco) in Manila, Barangays 868, 850 and 849 in Pandacan, Manila and Brgy. Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City.

Participants to the event were treated to simple and fun games wherein winners were able to receive Unilever products as prizes. Uniforms were also distributed to the barangay sweepers.
